Readercon kicked my ass intellectually (in a good way) and physically (in a less good way). I think that every time I go to some kind of con (drawing from a small set of data points), I overextend myself and say "self, next time we're going to get more sleep"... but the next con is always farther enough in the future that I forget. I got back at 3 or 3:30pm or something and slept for 7 hours. I'm catching up on the internets and will probably go back to sleep soon.
Anyway, I came back with a huge reading list, a few anthologies to get me started, a desire to Do Something Neat for the Interstitial Arts auction, and a bunch of nebulous possibly-interesting thoughts on narratives in games and visually annotating texts in arty ways and jewelry project ideas. (Must unpack/transfer boxes to basement so that I can actually do jewelry stuff! Arg!)
I didn't do as much personal networking as I might have, but I was mostly focused on just going to panels and keeping my head above water! Next year I'll be better at getting contact info for the neat people I run into.
