Jewelry blog crossposting?

OK, now that purpleshiny.com is all updated and blogular, I'm hoping to actually post about jewelry/metalworking over there more often. For a more general and not-necessarily-people-I-know audience, but it'll still be me doing the talking.... Do you guys have opinions for or against crossposts? I'm considering doing it the way [livejournal.com profile] ursulav does it. But maybe anyone who cares about that stuff is going to follow the blog via RSS anyway, and there's no reason to spam it onto LJ/DW too? Let me know what you think.

I'm lousy about keeping up with RSS feeds. Also, I am finding a new intense dislike for Blogger requiring commenters to use a Google account to login, mostly because I dislike being forced to link my (rarely used) gmail account to other services :\

I've created feeds on LJ for my off-LJ blogs, but haven't looked into that process for DW. Using feeds for other blogs is about the only way I reliably keep up with sites off of LJ/DW, other than bookmarks. Maybe someday I will find a 21st century method of staying informed that I like.

I prefer crossposting because I keep getting behind in my RSS feeds.

I prefer cross-posts, personally, but I'll subscribe by RSS if you do that. I'm more likely to comment on cross-posts, though.
